The General Assembly of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Agriculture held its annual meeting, attended by Dr. Zaid Abu Assaf, representing the Ministry of Agriculture (Directorate of Agriculture of Rural Damascus), and Mr. Yahya Mohammad, Director of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Agriculture, along with a distinguished gathering of General Assembly members.

The meeting reviewed the Chamber's activities over the past year and its key achievements. Furthermore, strategic plans to enhance the Chamber’s operations were presented, emphasizing coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Agriculture.

Participants engaged in extensive discussions regarding the development of the sector and the mitigation of challenges facing it. They reaffirmed that the Syrian economy is fundamentally built on agriculture and stressed the urgent need to expedite the issuance of the "Agricultural Registry" as a vital step for the sector's advancement
