The Rural Damascus Chamber of Agriculture, represented by Eng. Ahmed Al-Zaqout, Chairman of the Central Agricultural Centers Committee and Board Member of the Chamber, conducted a field tour to Nutra Green X, the first licensed hydroponics company in the Syrian Arab Republic.The visit came at the kind invitation of prominent supporters of the agricultural sector, led by:Sheikh Abu Abdullah – Sheikh of the Al-Turki tribe in Jabal al-Arab, and a key figure interested in developing modern agricultural projects.Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Rifai – A major supporter of sustainable agricultural initiatives.The meeting was also attended by an elite group of agricultural engineers, veterinarians, and medical doctors interested in developing agricultural and livestock production in Syria.During the tour, the delegation reviewed the efforts of the company's founders:Dr. Mustafa HalabiDr. Nawras MaatallahWho established Nutra Green X to serve as a leading model in hydroponics and the production of sprouted green fodder from barley, fenugreek, black seed, and wheat.The company's management demonstrated the adopted hydroponic sprouting techniques, which achieve water savings of up to 90% and produce high-nutritional-value fodder that enhances livestock production efficiency. Furthermore, the company confirmed its 100% reliance on clean, renewable energy.At the conclusion of the tour, Eng. Ahmed Al-Zaqout emphasized the importance of supporting such pioneering projects that represent the future of modern agriculture in Syria.
