Aleppo Chamber of Agriculture Celebrates World Environment Day and Launches Sustainable Development Initiatives

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Aleppo Chamber of Agriculture actively participates in environmental and developmental events. Its activities focus on raising awareness about the importance of resource sustainability, protecting vegetation cover, and safeguarding the agricultural wealth in the governorate.

The most prominent news regarding the activities of the Chamber and active entities in the city of Aleppo centers around the following points:

Afforestation and Awareness Campaigns: In cooperation with the Directorate of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in Aleppo, the Chamber organizes extensive afforestation campaigns and distributes saplings under sustainable slogans such as "Our Environment, Our Survival", aiming to restore damaged vegetation and increase green spaces.
Agricultural and Environmental Extension Seminars: The Chamber holds specialized workshops for farmers and technicians to raise awareness about smart and sustainable farming methods, water conservation in irrigation, and reducing chemical soil pollution to protect local ecosystems.
Cooperation with International and Local Organizations: Aleppo's economic and developmental role has recently been highlighted through its broad participation in the National Conference for Syrian Private Sector Dialogue. This conference discussed mechanisms for sustainable development, supporting environmental and economic recovery pathways, as well as digital projects and twinning for the future of Aleppo
